• LOW STRENGTH: M222 is a low strength threadlocker that allows the adjustment of screws including countersunk head screw and set screws. Good on low strength metals which could fracture during disassembly, such as aluminum or brass. Prevent loosening on vibrating assemblies, e.g. pumps, gear boxes or presses.
• APPLYING SCOPE: M222 works on all metals, including passive substrates, such as stainless steel, aluminum and plated surfaces. It is proven to be tolerant of minor contamination due to industrial oils, such as motor oil, corrosion prevention oils and cutting fluids. Ideal for low strength threadlocking of adjusting screws, countersunk head screw and set screws.
• USE-METHOD: 1. Clean all surfaces. 2. Shake well before use. 3. Apply sufficient product onto the bolts at the nut engagement area. If parts have come into contact with water-based solvents or cutting fluids and a protective layer is left on the surface, flush with hot water before gluing.
• MERITS: Low- strength thread locker glue is good on all low strength metal threaded assemblies. Easy disassembly, permit disassembly with hand tools, especially suited for small thread sizes. Easy to store, use and clean. Temperature resistant and minor oil resistant.
• WARM REMINDER: The bottle is more than 1/2 empty because the glue hardens in the absence of air, so filling the bottle completely would cause the glue to start hardening. The bottle is air permeable and allow air to pass through the wall. There is also some air gap over the product inside the bottle to maintain stability of glue. Thus a 50 ml pack of contains 50 ml glue in a much larger bottle.
