• WORKING PRINCIPLE - The MESTEK NC03 Radiation Detector is equipped with a Geiger-Miller counter, which is a counting instrument designed to detect the intensity of ionizing radiation (Beta particles, Gamma rays, and x-rays), using an inflatable tube or chamber as a probe. When the voltage applied to the probe reaches a certain range, a pair of ions is produced in the tube for each ionization of the rays and an electrical pulse of the same size can be amplified and recorded by connected electronic devices, thus measuring the number of rays per unit time
