With a 45 mil (1.1 mm) thickness, this tape provides strong bond, acting as a seamless alternative to rivets, screws, welds, or liquid adhesives. It bonds dissimilar, thin, or lightweight materials effectively, increases efficiency by eliminating steps.
- VERSATILE SOLUTION: 4611 double sided tape is engineered for demanding applications across construction, signage, electronics, trims, window & door assembly, and general industrial use. This tape offers an excellent balance of strength, viscoelasticity, and adhesion, making it a powerful bonding solution also across numerous industries, including window and door assembly, signage, electronics, construction, and general industrial. This heavy duty double sided tape permanently bonds metals or a variety of high surface energy substrates with minimal surface preparation.
- APPLICABLE SURFACES: The 4611 double sided Tape bonds effectively with various substrates, including aluminum, steel, glass, marble, tile, powder-coated paints, composites, plastics, and hardwoods. However, its not suitable for heavily textured surfaces or painted walls, as it may remove paint upon removal. Its unique viscoelastic properties provide strong adhesion to both high and low surface energy materials, making it ideal for diverse projects.
- USER GUIDELINES: For optimal bond strength, thoroughly clean surfaces with a 50:50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water. Apply tape when temperatures are between 70F to 100F (21C - 38C), allowing the bond to set for 72 hours with hard press. Initial tape application to surfaces at temperatures below 50F (10C) is not recommended because the adhesive becomes too firm to adhere readily. However, once properly applied, low temperature holding is generally satisfactory.
- EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE: The dual sided tape is made of acrylic adhesive and a firm, foam core. Engineered to handle high temperature bonding applications within a variety of high surface energy (HSE) substrates. Because of its high strength performance, the tape bonds thin, dissimilar, and lightweight materials while offering a smooth and seamless alternative to using rivets, welds, fasteners, and screws. The advanced closed cell acrylic technology provides secure bonding that protects against water and seals tightly. It performs in applications for short term use at a temperature up to 300 F (149 C).
