• [All-in-One OpenWrt Router] NanoPi R28S is a compact dual-gigabit router SBC based on Rockchip RK3528A quad-core Cortex-A53 (up to 1.8GHz). It includes onboard Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 . It is suited for home routing, travel networking, and IoT edge use.
• [RK3528A Quad-Core] The RK3528A SoC (28 nm, quad-core A53 up to 1.8 GHz) integrates Mali-450 GPU and 4K H.265/H.264 decode at 60 fps. Board provides 1 GB LPDDR4, dual Gigabit Ethernet (RTL8211F + RTL8111H), an eMMC module slot, and a microSD slot supporting up to 128 GB. Power input is USBC 5V/2A.
• [Built-in Wi-Fi 6 & Bluetooth 5.3] Onboard Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.3 are included, so no separate USB WiFi adapter is needed, unlike several similar boards. The module can create a wireless access point and connect Bluetooth peripherals directly.
• [Compact Dimensions Portable] Board measures 45451.2 mm and weighs 14 g without case. An optional CNC aluminium enclosure (49.549.524 mm, 77.5 g) is available. Power can be supplied from common USBC phone chargers or power banks, which is convenient for travel use.
• [Supported Operating Systems & Docker] Seven official OS images are available: FriendlyWrt 25.12 (OpenWrtbased, with Docker), Debian 13 Core, Ubuntu 24.04 Core, OpenMediaVault 8.0.6, Proxmox VE 8.2.7, Alpine Linux 3.23, and Buildroot all using Linux 6.1 LTS. Applications such as Pihole, AdGuard Home, WireGuard, Home Assistant, and lightweight Docker containers can be deployed.
• [DualGigabit Soft Router & VPN] With FriendlyWrt flashed, the device functions as an OpenWrt router supporting DNSlevel ad blocking, WireGuard/OpenVPN, QoS, guest WiFi, and firewall policies. Both Ethernet ports (WAN+LAN) are native, ensuring full gigabit throughput without USBtoEthernet dongles. The headless design (no HDMI) is intended for 24/7 headless gateway operation.
