This adjustable brake pad spreaders universal design makes it suitable for most cars and light trucks, with plates measuring 2-1/8 inches in width and 4-3/8 inches in length. **NOTE: Add a ratcheting wrench to increase efficiency.**
• DESIGN: This brake pad spreaders large heavy duty steel plates evenly distribute pressure, spreading pads evenly to prevent damage to both pistons and seals during service. The hex shank at the center of the tool offers 360-degree access, allowing for operation even in confined or partially obstructed spaces and offering the potential for ratcheting capabilities at a lower cost than many popular ratcheting models.
• APPLICATION: This spreader offers an operational minimum expansion of 1.67 inches and a maximum expansion of 2.625 (2-5/8) inches. With its 3/4-inch hex shank, this compact and powerful brake pad spreader is suitable for use with a 3/4-inch ratchet wrench, open end wrench, or adjustable wrench to compress caliper pistons quicker and easier than with a C-clamp. **NOTE: Ratchet wrench not included with this tool.**
