Excels on mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other softer ferrous materials. Utilizing 180-grit silicon carbide abrasive, it delivers a smooth finish ranging between 30 to 40 microinches (.7 to 1 micrometer).
- [VERSATILE APPLICATION]: The Pro-Graad TwistFlex Cylinder Honing & Deburring Tool can be run with hand tools, drill press, or CNC equipment. Apply a lubricant liberally such as a honing tool lubricant, 10-30 weight motor oil, or transmission fluid prior to using honing tool brush. Max RPM is 900, however optimum range is 600 - 800 RPM. Tip: If producing cross-hatching pattern, less is best - maximum of two passes should be done with brush within 20-45 seconds of total run time, averaging between 10-55 strokes.
- [AUTOMATIC ALIGNMENT]: The 2 inch TwistFlex Cylinder Honing & Deburring Tool is self-centering, self-aligning and will conform to the bore diameter to provide consistent surface finishing, as well as deburring any cross-drilled holes. The brush is self-compensating to produce a consistent finish throughout the life of the tool.
