• Applications:The welding rods 15% silver are good fluidity during welding. Suit for map gas torch kit. Good fluidity during welding, molten metal flow to small gaps.The brass brazing rod is used for brazing of refrigerator, air-conditioning, meters, Jewelry making & silver & silver alloy in motors industry. Widely used in brazing of copper and copper alloys in electrical machinery, electrical appliances and other industries. No solder flux is required for copper brazing. Apply appropriate flux for brazing brass or copper to brass.
• Standard: This silver bar containing 15% silver, is equivalent to the American standard AWS BCuP-5 national standard BCu88PAg and L205. Solidus Temperature: 1190F (643C), Liquidus Temperature: 1470F (796C). Brazing Range: 1300-1500F(704-816)
• Advantage:The low temperature to this 15% silver bars is good flow and wetting properties on copper, brass and bronze. PhosCopper 15 has the most "sluggish" flow, this enables it to fill gaps better. Has more ductility and better electrical conductivity than the lower silver content PhosCoppers.The recommended joint clearances are between 0.001 and 0.005".
